[About the actual machine]
-YF-22 was developed in 1985 based on the development plan for the next generation tactical fighter proposed by the United States Air Force, Advanced Tactical Fighter Plan ATF (Advanced Technical Fighter).
-Adopted with the Northrop proposal in 1986, development started.
-When rolled out on August 29, 1990, the first flight succeeded on September 29.
-The aircraft is equipped with different engines and two aircraft are manufactured, and various test flights are conducted.
-Featuring high stealth, such as the shape of the airframe and wings, and the weapon bay housed inside the fuselage.
-In April 1991, it won the competition with its rival, Northrop YF-23, and the technology was to be handed over to the production F-22.
[About the model]
-The model is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces YF-22 manufactured as a prototype of the next-generation machine in 1/72 scale.
-Realize stealth shape and realistically model the vehicle shape with high motion performance in two upper and lower parts.
-The distinctive shape of the exhaust port part also expresses the feature firmly.
-Reproduce the distinctive shape as it is the storage compartment that stores the legs. Also, the cockpit has a good atmosphere. The shape of the canopy also tightens the finish.
-The number of parts is small and you can work easily.
-It will be interesting to see the difference between the production model that has already been deployed in practice and the F-22 model.
