[About the actual machine]
-Based on Fwke Wolf Fw190, a German fighter equipped with an air-cooled engine, the engine was replaced with a liquid-cooled engine, and the D-9 responded to the lack of high altitude performance.
-Designed by Dr. Kurt Tank, the engine is equipped with a liquid-cooled 12-cylinder Jumo213A.
-The radiator for cooling the engine was equipped with a circular annular radiator on the front and nose of the engine.
-Mass production began in the summer of 1944.
-Deployed sequentially to each unit.
-Called Dora's nickname, his superior climbing power and speed proved to be useful in the latter half of the war.
