--The Meitetsu 1200 series was born as a dedicated general car with combined performance to connect to the 1000 series [Panorama super].
――The 6-car train consisting of 2 special cars 1000 series + 4 general cars 1200 series is mainly used for limited express operation, and this combined train is collectively called 1200 series.
――By dividing the 1000 series into two cars, there are A formation and B formation where the positions of the toilet and the intermediate crew room are different.
――Renewal work started in 2016, the appearance was changed to a new design based on red, and the format was officially 1200 series.
――In addition, the [Panorama super] lighting panel on the special car side has been changed to full-color LED.
