[About Sealab]
- Sealab is an underwater experimental facility developed by the US Navy in the 1960s.
- Various experiments were conducted, including saturation diving and whether it is possible for humans to live in underwater facilities for long periods of time.
- Starting with Sealab I, which was installed on the seabed at a depth of 58m off the coast of Bermuda in 1964 and was tested with the participation of four divers, Sealab II was produced in 1965.
- Sealab III was created four years later.
- A part of the Sealab II was refurbished and produced, and was lowered to a depth of 185m off the coast of San Clemente Island, California, but problems such as water leakage continued, and unfortunately the Sealab III was discarded. The program itself has ended.
