[Product introduction]
- This is the first new steel boxcar in the post-war period, and the Tem 100 is a 15-ton, two-axle vehicle with a two-stage link type running system and a maximum operating speed of 75km/h. 850 cars were manufactured by 1963.
- In order to cope with the heat generated by the chemical reaction between the quicklime, which is the main cargo, and water, the structure is designed to prevent water leakage, and the floorboards, side panels, and roof are all made of steel plates.
- In order to make the inside smooth for bulk loading, flat steel plates are used with no lining and the side pillars are placed on the outside.
