[Product introduction]
- The 287 series is a DC limited express train developed by JR West based on the 683 series.
- In 2011, it was introduced as a vehicle with improved safety, comfort, and convenience, replacing the conventional 183 series and 381 series.
- In addition to being active as [Kounotori], it began commercial operation as [Kuroshio] in March 2012 to replace the conventional 381 series, and is still active today.
- This product now uses a slotless motor, allowing you to enjoy smoother running.
- Also, the front coupler at the beginning will be a KATO coupler tightly connected type (no hook) + electric connected parts, and the contents of the destination display sticker will be updated to the current specifications.
- Accordingly, the product number, JAN code, and price will change.
- There are no changes to the exterior specifications of the vehicle.
*If you want to connect it with a conventional product, you will need to purchase and replace the leading coupler separately.

[Product features]
- Although the design is the same as the 287 series [Konotori], the ocean green band under the side window of the car emphasizes the image of [Kuroshio].
- Reproduce the rounded front shape and distinctive head/tail lights
- Head/tail light lighting (additional set Kumoha 286 is not equipped with head/tail light). Kumoha 287-15 has a light off switch
- The top of the top car uses a KATO coupler tightly connected type (no hook). Electric parts included. The intermediate connection part uses a body mount close coupler (with hook)
- Adopts a slotless motor for smoother and quieter running.
- Updated the contents of the destination display sticker to the current specifications. In addition to [Kuroshio], the side nickname display also includes [Mahoroba].
