──An unpainted kit that is fun to use to recreate the coloring seen in various places after the JR system was introduced

- The Kiha 45 series is a general-purpose diesel railcar that was introduced in 1966.
- Deployed throughout the country, they were operated in conjunction with the dual-cab Kiha 23, Kiha 52, and Kiha 58 trains.
- Originally they were painted in the standard two-tone vermilion No. 4 and cream No. 4 livery, or the metropolitan area livery of solid vermilion No. 5, but after the privatization of the Japanese National Railways, they were repainted in colorful liveries unique to each line and region, and were also seen coupled with Japanese National Railways liveries.
- It was inherited by various JR companies and was in service until 1995.
