-- Kyoto's new train cars now available in the Tetsudou Collection!

[Vehicle Guide]
The Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau's Series 20 is the first new train on the Karasuma Subway Line in 40 years, having begun commercial operation in March 2022. It was introduced to replace nine Series 10 trains that had been in service since the Karasuma Line's opening. The exterior and interior designs were decided by a vote of Kyoto citizens and users, resulting in a more futuristic design that differs from the previous Series 10, with extensive use of curved surfaces in the front. Currently, in addition to the Karasuma Subway Line, it operates on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line and extends to Nara Station on the Nara Line. (As of April 2024)

[Product Guide]
- The Kyoto City Transportation Bureau's Series 20 is the first new train on the Karasuma Subway Line in 40 years, and it began commercial operation in March 2022.
- This series was introduced to replace the 9 Series 10 trains that have been in operation since the opening of the Karasuma Subway Line.
- The exterior and interior designs were decided by votes from Kyoto citizens and users, resulting in a more futuristic design that differs from the conventional 10 series, with the front section making extensive use of curved surfaces.
- Currently, in addition to the Karasuma Subway Line, it also operates on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line, which connects to the Nara Line, and continues to Nara Station.

- By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train.
- We recommend the TM-14 (20m class A2) power unit, TT-04R running gear set, and FRS4AN <0292> pantograph.
