Product Description

- The aviation cruiser [Mogami] now features a vast aviation work space at the rear of the ship, and new parts have been added!

- The product is based on the appearance of the Mogami-class first ship, the Mogami, in 1943 when it was converted into an aircraft carrier.
- The No. 4.5 main guns have been removed and a new aviation work deck has been built, and features include the installation of a No. 21 radar, an expanded air defense command post, and an expanded machine gun turret forward of the bridge.
- New molds are used to standardize the differences in the reproduction of equipment, etc. depending on the product release date, and some parts are divided to take painting into consideration.

[CC] The No. 21 radar is depicted with more delicate engravings than previous accessory parts, such as the insulator base for fixing the elements on the front side.
[HH] The 12.7cm twin anti-aircraft gun A1 Kai 1 is divided into 6 parts, with improved modeling resolution compared to the existing 2 parts.
The 9-metre cutter is made into two parts to allow for painting, and the stand is available as a separate part, or you can choose to have it molded as a single piece with the deck.
[NN] The 11m internal combustion engine boat is designed with painting in mind, with the canvas, wheelhouse and engine room canopy made into separate parts. Each part is painted first, and then assembled and glued later.
-The 12-meter internally fired launch can now be depicted in its shape without the canvas.
- The shipboard stand has been molded to recreate the uneven shape and light holes, giving it a more precise appearance.
- New parts are used to recreate the chrysanthemum crest on the bow and the portlights on the sides of the bridge.
- Binocular telescope parts have been added to the air defense command post and compass bridge.
- Added decals showing the ship name at the stern (painted in naval colors) and the white lines on the mast.
The Type 96 25mm machine gun comes standard with a two-part design that reduces the amount of painting/painting work required.

[Hull]
- The hull has a one-piece structure with the port and starboard sides molded as a single unit, allowing for a more stable shape when assembled compared to a system where the left and right sides are glued together.
- The side bulges are represented as separate parts.
- This part is exclusive to aircraft carriers in order to reproduce the portholes that were reduced in number as a measure to make the ships unsinkable since the start of the war.

[Upper deck]
- The upper deck is a single piece, with detailed engravings such as the linoleum deck retainers and the iron deck anti-slip surfaces.
- The ventilators and reels are depicted as one with the deck, and below the aircraft work deck is a delicately carved anti-slip split pattern.

[bridge]
- The base of the bridge structure is a one-piece part with engravings on all four sides created using a slide mold.
- The enlarged machine gun turret at the front of the bridge is recreated using special parts.

[Main gun turret]
- The heat shield seams on the sides and top of the turret are precisely carved.

[chimney]
- Both the front and rear chimneys are split into left and right sections, and feature handrails and double scaffolding that are delicately carved.
- The chimney's rain protection grille is designed so that the inner tube side can be seen through even when removed.
- The steam exhaust pipe is a separate part from the chimney, which increases precision.

[Masts and Aviation Equipment]
- The rear mast has a truss structure underneath molded as a single piece, allowing you to easily recreate the detailed shape.
- The floatplane hoisting crane is made into a single piece using a slide mold, and the hook is also delicately sculpted.
- The catapult (Kure Type 2 Model 5) has a realistic side/top design reproduced using a slide mold.

[Aircraft Carrier]
- The molding color is gray to improve workability (to prevent damage when cutting the gate).
- Eight A6M Zero (three-seater) floatplanes and four A6M Zero observation floatplanes are included.

[Included decals]
- Markings such as naval ensigns, national flags, and the Hinomaru flag for aircraft carriers are included.
- Navy flags are available in three sizes. They are 1/700 scale versions of the actual sizes: 10cm, 6cm, and 3cm.
- Includes the Hinomaru flag used on aircraft carriers, friendly identification bands (yellow bands), etc., and the Hinomaru flag also includes the one without the white border from the later period of the war.
- Decals featuring the white lines on the mast and the ship's name on the stern (in two colors: gold and solid in naval colors).

- The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing assembly and painting.
- The scale is 1/700, and this is an offshore model that does not include the bottom of the ship.
- This product is made up of the conventional (special series) mold and newly added mold parts.
