[Product introduction]
- The DD51 was manufactured from 1962 onwards and was a representative diesel locomotive of the Japanese National Railways, and was seen throughout Japan except for Shikoku.
- Due to the long manufacturing period and the fact that it was in operation in various regions, there are many variations. The DD51 that was active in the Sanin region is characterized by its style equipped with a snowplow, known as the B cold climate specification.
- It was used for a wide range of purposes, from pulling the sleeper express [Izumo] to regular trains and freight trains made up of old passenger cars.
- This locomotive is essential for passenger and freight trains on the Sanin Main Line.
- It is also recommended as a locomotive for the <10-1914 Passenger Car Set Express [Sanbe]> scheduled for release at the same time.
