Product Description
- The 37mm Bofors anti-tank gun was an anti-tank gun developed by the Swedish company Bofors in the early 1930s.
- It was exported to various countries and was particularly active during the early stages of World War II.
- In the early 1930s, Sweden ordered a new 37 mm anti-tank gun from Bofors.
- In response to this, Bofors began development in 1931.
- Early prototypes of the gun were heavy enough to weigh 800 kg in order to suppress the recoil, but the development of a multi-hole muzzle brake succeeded in reducing the weight to 400 kg.
- Its anti-tank power was also guaranteed, being able to penetrate a 20mm armor plate inclined at 30 degrees at a distance of 1,000m.
- The mantlet also has a distinctive shape and is 5 mm thick.
- The 37mm Bofors anti-tank gun was a superior gun and was exported to many countries.
