- The Pensti Caproni was a micro sports aircraft manufactured by the Italian company Caproni and first flew in 1918.
- It was designed by Emilio Pensti, a designer and test pilot for the Caproni company.
- Designed with the concept of "an aircraft that anyone could pilot, like a bicycle," this aircraft had a short fuselage, three 4-meter-wide wings, a cruciform tail, and a three-cylinder, 35 HP Anzani engine.
- With a pilot weighing only 230kg, this aircraft was truly a "bicycle in the sky."

- The Pensti Caproni miniature triplane was a small single-engine sport triplane designed and built in Italy shortly before the end of World War I.
- The wingspan was just 4.0 metres.
- [It was designed to do for the air what the bicycle does for man on the road] so after World War I it was classified as a light sport airplane.
- This single-seater triplane had flat, rectangular wings with a wingspan of just four metres each.
- The central wing was fixed to the top of the fuselage, while the other two pairs were held well away from the fuselage by struts.
- Each wing had an aileron.
- The Pensty has a simple rectangular fuselage with an open cockpit at the trailing edge of the wing.
- The nose-mounted, three-cylinder, air-cooled Anzani engine produced 35 horsepower and drove a two-bladed propeller.
- The cruciform tail has a horizontal surface attached to the top of the fuselage and a trapezoidal vertical surface that extends evenly above and below the fuselage.
- A small tail skid was attached to the lower end of the tail.
