Product Description
- The Savanna was released in 1971 as Mazda's rotary engine (RE)-only vehicle.
- The Savanna itself was available in a variety of body styles, including sedan, two-door hardtop, and station wagon, but its successor, the Savanna RX-7, released in 1978, was designed solely as a two-door sports car.
- The second generation was released in 1985.
-The third generation was released in 1991, with the RE being equipped with a twin turbo, eventually producing 280 horsepower, the maximum limit for a domestically produced car.
- Combined with its excellent driving performance, it established itself as a world-renowned luxury car.
- Even after production ended in 2003, its popularity continued to grow and it is now a collector's item.
- The Hot Wheels motif is the original RX-7 race car that appeared in 1978, and is characterized by its overfenders to accommodate thick tires, as well as a huge front spoiler and rear wing.
