The 18C type container is a two-way opening 12ft container that was introduced in 1988 by expanding the capacity of the earlier 18A type.
Along with the 18D type, it was used for freight transport in the 1990s, but with the emergence of successor containers such as the 19D type, it was taken out of service by around 2010.
