── The 1200 series and 1800 series, which have destination displays, passing indicator lights, and fog lights, are now available with selectable car numbers.

The Meitetsu 1800 series was introduced in 1991 as a vehicle to add to some of the special car formations currently in operation with the 1200 series.
During the daytime, the two-car formation is used as a direct express train to branch lines and a local train.
Although the body design is similar to that of the 1200 series, it does not have the Panorama Super electric panel and is not equipped with a musical horn.
From 2017, the exterior design was changed to match the renewed 1200 series.
