The Nankai 10000 series was introduced in 1985, and in 1992 new intermediate cars were built and the leading cars were converted into intermediate cars, making all trains four-car formations.
There were seven trains in service, numbered 10004 to 10010, with the current livery of silver with orange and blue accents.
Of all the trains, trains 10004 to 10006 have had their leading cars converted into intermediate cars, and the window layout is uniform.
Trains 10005 and 10006 were retired between 2012 and 2013, and the remaining train, 10004, will be repainted in a retro livery commemorating the company's 140th anniversary from June 4, 2025.
