This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the US Navy's electronic warfare aircraft, the EA-18G Growler, in 1/48 scale, with the AOA probe reproduced using metal parts adding to the delicate finish.
This set also includes metal AOA parts for adding detail.

[About the actual machine]
The EA-18G Growler is an electronic warfare aircraft developed and operated by the United States Navy as a successor to the Grumman EA-6B Prowler.
It was developed based on the US Navy's F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter and began operation in 2009.
It has a crew of two: a pilot and a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) in the back seat.
Electronic warfare equipment includes the AN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS) pod, the AN/ALQ-218(V)2 radio frequency receiving system, and the AN/ALQ-227 communications countermeasures set.
The aircraft is powered by two General Electric F414-GE-400 turbofan engines, giving it a top speed of nearly Mach 1.8.
Armed with these devices, the Growler can counter enemy SEAD aircraft.
The U.S. Navy's oldest electronic warfare squadron, VAQ-130 Zappers, which originated in 1959 as Carrier Early Warning Squadron 13 (VAW-13), has also been operating Growlers since 2011.

The kit is a 1/48 scale reproduction of the US Navy's current electronic warfare aircraft, the EA-18G Growler.
This is a plastic model assembly kit with a finished length of 381mm.
The impressive size and distinctive form are accurately modeled.
In addition, this kit includes metal AOA probe parts that can be attached to the exterior of the aircraft.
The sharp finish enhances the details of the aircraft, resulting in a realistic aircraft. The metal parts are made by Master.
Delicate details are achieved by combining machined base parts with etched parts.
Of course, this kit is also satisfying to build, thanks to the 1/48 scale, with the aircraft shape, tandem cockpit, landing gear and landing gear storage compartment.
The set also includes a special masking sheet that is convenient for painting the canopy frame.
The markings are selected from VAQ-130 Zappers, which have been operating Growlers since 2011.
It reproduces the appearance of the Zapper Dragon insignia, a dragon design inherited from the time of its predecessor, the VAW-13, painted on the tail fin.
