Introducing the new 1/144 scale DC-8-61 from X-Scale Models, a Ukrainian passenger aircraft kit manufacturer.
The DC-8 is a large jet passenger aircraft that represents first-generation jet aircraft, along with the 707 and CV880, and was also the world's first passenger aircraft to fly at supersonic speeds.
This injection plastic kit recreates the significantly stretched -61 model using newly molded fuselage parts.
The kit comes with a paint mask and one decal.
When completed, the total length will be approximately 397mm and the total width will be approximately 302mm.

The DC-8 is a passenger aircraft that represents the first generation of jet aircraft, and was the world's first large jet passenger aircraft to fly at supersonic speeds.
Developed in 1952 as a successor to the DC-7C, orders officially began in 1955, and the aircraft received orders not only from American airlines but also from airlines around the world, including Japan, contributing to the introduction of jet aircraft on long-distance routes around the world.
The 60 series was the final evolution, with three models produced: -61, -62, and -63.
The 60 series eliminated the oxygen masks and lighting units built into the seats, which had previously been problematic due to their difficulty in maintenance, and replaced them with ones built into overhead stowage, like many other aircraft introduced around that time.The window curtains were also eliminated and replaced with blackout shades.
The 61 was a large-capacity, medium-range aircraft with a fuselage extended by approximately 11 meters without changing the maximum takeoff weight or maximum fuel load of the -55, and at the time of its launch it was the passenger aircraft with the largest number of seats in the world.
Although it has a large number of seats, its range is not that long, so it was mainly used on medium- to short-distance routes such as domestic flights within the United States, Japan, and intra-Asia routes, which do not require long range.
