It features a style that emphasizes speed, with a slim fuselage and thin, sharp main wings.
It participated in the Spanish Civil War, and based on its combat experience, improvements were made and various types were produced.
By the end of the war, over 30,000 aircraft of all types had been produced, and they served as the German military's main fighter aircraft throughout the war.
The Ausf. G became the mainstay of the later stages of the war, with the first type completed in 1941.
The G-2 model, equipped with the DB605A engine with increased power output, was released in 1942, and the G-6 model, featuring stronger nose armament, was released in 1943, and this was the G model that recorded the highest production numbers.
