[About the actual car]
The Eastern Front was covered in rain, snow and mud.
Since wheeled vehicles make it difficult to supply and tow supplies, the RSO tractor was developed as a countermeasure.
As the name RSO RaupenSchlepper Ost (Eastern Tracked Tractor) suggests, this tracked tractor was designed to withstand the muddy roads on the Eastern Front, and taking advantage of its low cost and simple structure, it was mass-produced and sent to the front lines.
Variation models were also produced, including the gasoline-engine RSO/2, the diesel-engine RSO/3, and self-propelled artillery models equipped with various guns.
A version equipped with the 15cm sIG33, which was the German army's main infantry gun throughout World War II, was also produced, and its high maneuverability in muddy terrain made it effective as a towing vehicle for various guns.

[About the model]
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the RSO equipped with a 15cm sIG33 howitzer, developed and used by the German army during World War II.
- The body of the vehicle is a general-purpose tractor, and not only does it have the distinctive RSO style, but it also has detailed reproductions of the fighting compartment, chassis, engine, transmission and drive shaft.
- Of each type, the RSO/3 equipped with a diesel engine is modeled.
- The RSO accurately reproduces the body shape with its simple design composed of flat surfaces, and not only the exterior but also the internal mechanisms such as the engine and gearbox.
-In addition, a 15cm s.IG.33 howitzer is modeled on the loading platform.
-Aluminum parts are used for the barrel.
- The rifling is also engraved, giving it a realistic feel.
- The guns and gun carriages are also reproduced in full detail.
This set also features realistically assembled Magic Tracks for the RSO track parts, and the travel lock that secures the gun mount is made with 3D printed parts.
