- The two-engine diesel railcar Kiha 52, which was active on steep local lines, is back for the first time in a long time! Two colors will be available at the same time.

[Product Introduction]
The Kiha 52 series is a powerful general-purpose diesel railcar equipped with two engines on the Kiha 20 series, and was introduced in 1958.
While it has a structure similar to the Kiha 20 series, its overall length has been extended to 21.3m to accommodate two engines, and it has one more double-tiered window between the passenger doors than the Kiha 20 series.
They were used for regional transportation on local lines around the country, and were particularly popular on routes that included steep gradient sections.
Even after the transition to JR, these trains were inherited by various companies and continued to be used, but were gradually retired and replaced by successor vehicles.

The car number and affiliation notation will be changed from this product, and warm white LEDs will be used for the light units.

[Product features]
This product is a reproduction of the train manufactured at Niigata Iron Works between October 1965 and August of the following year. It recreates the shape of the train from the JNR era.
・Standard color: Vehicles belonging to Yonago Locomotive Depot before 1978 (Showa 53) / Metropolitan color: Vehicles belonging to Tsuruga Locomotive Depot around 1985 (Showa 60)
Beautifully reproduces the JNR diesel railcar standard color and the orange metropolitan area color.
The sash part of the side window is silver, and the H-rubber part including the door window is gray.
Attached to the front of the toilet
Uses a power unit equipped with a GM-5 motor for stable running.
Head/tail lights illuminate (using warm white LEDs, with switch to turn off)
