Product Description

--The gray undercarriage adds a nice accent! The 113 series from the Tokai region!

[Vehicle Introduction]
The 113 series is a DC suburban train that debuted in 1963 as an upgraded version of the 111 series, which appeared in 1962.
Strictly speaking, only the electric cars existed; the leading cars and trailer cars were manufactured as the 111 series, with variations in specifications and structure, totaling 2,943 units by 1982. For many years, they were seen operating mainly on flat lines within DC electrified sections throughout Japan.
Because only 64 units of the 111 series motor cars were produced before production ceased, it is common practice to refer to all trains other than the 111 series motor cars in the narrow sense as the 113 series in the broader sense.
JR Central inherited a large number of 113 series trains from the Japanese National Railways (JNR) to use as the main rolling stock on the Tokaido Main Line and the Chuo Main Line (Western Chuo Line).
Since many of the vehicles were aging, after the privatization of Japanese National Railways, the introduction of new vehicles such as the 211 series was actively pursued. In addition, unique modifications were made, such as adding air conditioning to non-air-conditioned cars, installing inspection covers on passenger door rails, and installing white pillow covers on the cross-seat sections of the interior seats. These modifications gave the 113 series a distinctive appearance that differed from the 113 series in the Kanto and Kansai regions, attracting many suburban train enthusiasts.
From around 1994, the JR mark was gradually changed to a smaller orange one, and the undercarriage and bogies were painted gray, giving them an even more distinctive appearance.
Similar morphological changes were common to many JNR-era electric trains that operated on the JR Central line in the late 1990s, such as the 165 series, 381 series, and 103 series. All of these trains ran through a turbulent era, but after 1998, with the introduction of the 313 series, the early models of the 113 series in the Nagoya area ceased operation, and their presence was reduced to only the Shizuoka area.

[Product overview]
Further expansion of the Micro Ace train series
The long-awaited model of the early 113 series train from the JR Central Nagoya area, which has never been available as a finished product before, is finally being released!
A variation product based on A9586 (shipped September 2024).
*All of the lead cars in this project feature the original large headlights.
Headlights, taillights, and front display have switches for turning them on and off.
Based on its appearance in the late 1990s, this version features gray undercarriage and bogies, and a smaller, orange JR mark.
The seat components are molded in blue, and the cross-seat sections are colored with white covers to recreate the original design.
The train set is based on a configuration where the odd-numbered leading cars, Kuha 111-120 and Kuha 111-133, were retrofitted with C-AU711 air conditioners, while the others were retrofitted with AU75 air conditioners.
Of the cars equipped with AU75 air conditioners, Moha 112-173, Moha 113-173, and Kuha 111-478 have the air conditioner mounted in the center of the car body, while the others have the air conditioner shifted towards the rear of the car body.
*Due to the sharing of parts, the position of the running board differs from that of the actual vehicle.
Kuha 111-120 and Kuha 111-372 lack toilet inspection covers, while the other two cars have the inspection covers reproduced with printing.
The Kuha 111-133 is reproduced with green accents and silver parts otherwise.
Kuha 111-133, Moha 112-173, and Moha 113-173 do not have door rail inspection covers; all other cars have the door rail inspection covers reproduced with printing.
By connecting A4418 and A4419, a 10-car train can also be recreated.
*Due to the sharing of parts, some parts may differ from the actual vehicle.
