Product Description
--The nostalgic original color [Panorama Super]
[Product overview]
The 1000 series debuted in 1998 as a four-car express train called "Panorama Super," with all cars being reserved for special passenger service. However, in 1991, the train was split into two two-car sets, and four three-door 1200 series general passenger cars were added, resulting in a six-car train with some reserved passenger cars.
This resulted in improved seating rates during off-peak hours and reduced boarding and alighting times during rush hour.
By splitting the 1000 series into two-car sets, differences arose in the location of toilets and intermediate driver's cabs, resulting in the existence of A and B sets.
Renovation work was carried out starting in 2015, and the body color was changed at the same time.
