Himeji Castle, a national treasure, is a flatland castle built on Himeyama Hill (approximately 46 meters above sea level) by Ikeda Terumasa (construction took place from 1601 to 1604). It consists of a five-story, six-tiered main keep and three-story smaller keeps (East Keep, Northwest Keep, and West Keep), with each keep connected by two-story connecting towers, forming a [connected keep] structure.
The main keep is a watchtower-type structure with a double-story hip-and-gable roof at its base. The entire wall surface is covered in white plaster, and the curves of the hip-and-gable, curved, and gabled roofs, along with the latticework in the windows, with projecting lattices below the curved roofs, and arched windows in the west and northwest smaller keeps, evoke the image of a white heron taking flight. This delicate and beautiful castle is also known as "White Heron Castle."
Registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1993, it is known as the world's finest white castle, both militarily and artistically, as a fortress ruin.

This kit is the third in the Mini Castle Tower series, and features a 1/300 scale model of the highly popular Himeji Castle.
Despite its compact size, it realizes a connected castle tower style with a main keep and three smaller keeps surrounding it, linked by connecting towers. It also faithfully reproduces Himeji Castle's characteristic features, such as the numerous loopholes and lattice windows on the main keep and towers, as well as the curved gables and bay windows.
Furthermore, the stone wall installation process, which accounts for half of the production time, utilizes slabs (Jindai) with realistic stone wall patterns laser-engraved throughout, significantly reducing the time and difficulty required for the stone wall installation process.
This miniature castle series (Osaka Castle, Matsumoto Castle) has approximately twice the number of parts, and most of them are laser-cut parts with high dimensional accuracy, allowing for smooth assembly and a satisfying building experience.
