[Structure, Specifications, and Features]
- hull
The hull is split into left and right sections, with the bottom of the hull separated at the waterline.
- A special molded color that mimics the dark gray used for warships at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal.
- The portholes have a unique design with many of them closed off.
→The difference is reproduced by using concave carving for the unclosed area and convex carving for the closed window.
- The external electrical wiring on the side of the hull is depicted in detail, including the fasteners.

- Armament
The main guns can be elevated and rotated.
→Achieving both a minimal number of parts and realistic sculpting.
→The muzzle of the 36cm main gun barrel is represented using a slide mold.
→Use the included seals on the waterproof canvas.
- The main gun turrets reproduce the unique feature of the Kongo and Hiei, with their flat front walls.
- The roofs of the No. 2 and No. 3 main guns will feature a reproduction of the additional machine gun mounts, and dedicated parts will be provided.
- The secondary guns have a one-piece structure with the casemate and barrel integrated.
The 25mm machine gun is a one-piece construction and is molded in gray.

- Bridge
The bridge is constructed from stacked parts, and each layer is reproduced without any omissions.
- Equipped with Type 21 and Type 22 radar, as seen in the later stages of the war.
- The linoleum flooring on the bridge is represented by the included stickers.

- Chimney/Mast
- The chimney is a left-and-right combination type, with the steam exhaust pipe and whistle pipe all represented as one piece.
- The top cap (grille) is hollow, creating a very realistic and sense of depth.
- The mast is divided into support posts, cross trees, and topmast, achieving both ease of assembly and accurate shape reproduction.

- Aviation outfitting and carrier-based aircraft
- The carrier-based aircraft include two Type 0 Observation Aircraft.
- The molded color is dark green.
- Panel lines are recessed, and the propeller is integrated with the fuselage using a slide mold for precise detailing.

- Wooden deck
- The wooden deck is a wood-like beige color, and the parts have been given a color scheme.
- Delicate recessed carving expresses a plate-like arrangement, with a recess depth suitable for ink lining.
- Deck fittings such as air intakes (in battleship gray) are reproduced as separate parts to recreate the color difference.

- Bonus parts
- Includes adhesive parts for a more detailed finish.
- A single machine gun, ammunition boxes, and bulletproof plates are included as additional parts.
- Includes air intakes lined up on the wooden deck, auxiliary floats for seaplanes, and binoculars for the air defense command post.

- Display base for sea level
- Dedicated mold parts (mold/manufactured in 2026) that match the waterline shape of the plastic Kongo and Haruna models.
- The shape of the waterline is compatible with the Ship NEXT series.
(Not compatible with the Kongo-class battleships in the Special Series or the Hiei in the Ship NEXT Series)
- External dimensions: 396mm (length) x 134mm (width) x approximately 17mm (height). Molded color: Clear blue.
- Due to the characteristics of the sea surface, where high-speed turns to starboard are common, the ship's shape causes it to tilt slightly to port due to centrifugal force.
- Recreating the waves spreading from the bow to the sides of the ship, the subdued sea surface at the sides, and the sea surface formation generated by the propellers.
- Through holes are provided on the bottom of the hull to allow for securing the ship (four holes each at the front and rear of the ship).

- Included stickers
・Two stickers are included for reproducing the details of the coloring.
• Includes pre-cut stickers for easy application.
This sticker set includes decals for basic and detailed parts such as the naval ensign and the painted areas of the ship's boats.
→Includes waterproof canvas for main guns and shipboard boats, wooden surfaces for emergency rudders, and aircraft transport rails.
- Includes decals for national markings on seaplanes; warning markings for the wing leading edge are cut to the required length and applied separately.

The box art, created by Takeshi Kurokawa, depicts the ship in its advanced state after its anti-aircraft armament was strengthened in October 1944.

The molded parts are made up of seven colors: (Sasebo Naval Arsenal color, black, brown, light beige, dark green, gold, and clear blue).
