Product Description
A twin-engine, twin-tailed replica of the Dornier Do 217 night fighter.
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates the Dornier Do 217 night fighter version used by the German military during World War II.
[About the actual device]
The Dornier Do 217 was a twin-engine bomber developed and deployed by the German military during World War II.
The prototype made its first flight in October 1938.
Development continued, and it began operation in 1941.
The mass-produced version was equipped with two BMW 801A engines.
In addition to the pilot, the cockpit accommodates four crew members: a bombardier/nose gunner, a rear gunner/radio operator, and a flight engineer/rear gunner.
He served on various fronts until the end of the war.
Since its introduction in 1941, it has undergone continuous improvements, and various variant types have also been produced.
One example is the Nachtjäger, a night fighter variant equipped with radar and other features in its nose.
They fought valiantly to intercept Allied bombers that were invading German airspace at night.
