[Vehicle Guide]
The EF58 was an electric locomotive that played an active role in pulling passenger trains on major trunk lines after the war, and was characterized by its streamlined body style.
Among the locomotives belonging to the Miyahara Depot, the group with small front windows was not modified with H-rubber seals until its later years, and these vehicles retained their elegant style, making them popular among railway enthusiasts at the time.
Unit 127, along with units 126 and 150, was consistently based at the Miyahara Depot from its manufacture until its decommissioning. Even after its regular service ended, it continued to operate until 1985, primarily for fluctuating transport needs, including the use of the Suro 81.

- This model recreates the appearance of EF58 locomotive No. 127, the last EF58 locomotive at Miyahara Depot to retain its original small windows, as it appeared around 1980.
- Reproduces the paint scheme of Blue No. 15 with a cream warning color.
- The cab lights have a mechanism that illuminates when the vehicle is stopped and turns off when it starts moving. The headlights also feature a mechanism that simulates a focus-switching light, dimming when the vehicle is stopped and becoming brighter when it starts moving.
*This function operates when using Tomix power units N-600, N-1001, DU-101, and DU-204.
- The front beam adopts a structure that moves integrally with the main frame, reproducing the appearance when passing through curves in a way that is closer to that of the actual train.
- The license plate is reproduced by engraving on the vehicle body.
- The headlights replicate those of the LP402.
- The side filters replicate the shape of a shutter door.
- The pantograph is a newly manufactured PS15 type.
- The district nameplate is pre-printed with "[Miya]".
- The release lever is a separate part that has already been installed.
- The wheels, both the leading bogie and driving wheels, are reproduced as spoked wheels.
- Headmark [Salon Car Naniwa] included
- The 1-end side is equipped with a dummy coupler, and the 2-end side is equipped with a TN coupler mounted on the leading bogie. Replacement self-coupling type TN couplers, dummy couplers, and Arnold couplers are included.
- Features a flywheel-equipped motor and black wheels.
