[About the actual device]
Among the fighter planes developed by Italy during World War II, the Macchi MC.202 Folgore is considered a masterpiece.
In line with the R Program, which aimed to modernize air force aircraft before World War II, Macchi developed the MC.200.
Development began on an evolved version of that aircraft, and its first flight took place in August 1940.
The engine replaced the MC.200's Fiat A74RC38 air-cooled radial engine with a DB601A-1 liquid-cooled inverted V-type engine from Daimler-Benz of ally Germany, which produced over 1000 horsepower.
Along with the engine replacement, the aircraft's design was also significantly altered.
The smaller frontal projected area design also improves aerodynamic performance.
It achieved a top speed of 600 km/h, surpassing the German Messerschmitt Bf109, which was equipped with the same engine.
In addition, combined with its inherent agility and maneuverability, it resulted in a machine that excelled in both hit-and-run tactics and close-quarters combat.

This is a plastic model assembly kit that recreates the Macchi MC.202 Folgore, one of the finest aircraft in the history of the Italian Air Force, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023.
The scale is 1/32, and it has over 200 parts.
This kit models an early series of MC.202 aircraft.
- We thoroughly researched the characteristics of the early model, such as the shape of the frame supporting the engine, the shape of the tail wheel, and the difference in the thickness of the canopy's windshield, and prepared new parts accordingly.
This kit is appealing because it faithfully reproduces the unique details of a country's own aircraft.
The finished overall length is 276mm.
From the dynamic shape of the aircraft to the panel lines and rivets, every detail is reproduced with a level of accuracy only possible in a large 1/32 scale model.
