-EH500 is a 2-body, 8-axis AC/DC electric locomotive that is useful for freight trains from the Tokyo metropolitan area to the Tohoku area, and for towing freight trains in the Kanmon tunnel section.
-Since the GPS antenna on the roof became unnecessary by the driving support system introduced from 2008 (2008), the removal of the GPS antenna is in progress.
