[Commentary]
-Speaking of SL superstars, this is C62. The glory top number No. 1 was inaugurated on January 17, 1948, with the D52-74 as a model car. The first machine has many prototype elements, and the tender is characterized by a style similar to C59. After completion, it was placed in the second district of Hiroshima and played an active role as a towing machine for the limited express [Tsubame] [Hato] on the Tokaido Main Line. Eventually, it is stored in the Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum after passing through Hiroshima Railway School.
