――The Keikyu New 1000 series has been in operation since April 2002 as a successor to the conventional 1000 series, and is the main model of Keikyu, which is still being expanded.
――Early vehicles used a control device and traction motor manufactured by Siemens of Germany on an aluminum body, and were called Doremifa trains because of the characteristic start-up sound at the time of departure.
――The body has been changed to stainless steel and the control equipment has been changed to Japanese from the additional cars since 2007.
--From the 17th car, which was added in 2018, by painting the entire surface of the stainless steel body, which is the first for a major private railway company in the Kanto region, it wears the traditional colors of Keikyu in red and white, and the information provision device in the car is also available in 4 languages. A pictogram display of the symbol has been added to improve convenience for foreign customers.
