[Product Introduction]
The Seibu Railway 5000 series was a reserved-seat express train that was introduced with the opening of the Seibu Chichibu Line in 1969, and won the Railway Friendship Club's Blue Ribbon Award in 1970.
Affectionately known as the "Red Arrow," it operated on routes such as the "Chichibu" and "Okuchichibu" lines connecting Ikebukuro and Seibu Shinjuku to Seibu Chichibu, and the "Musashi" line connecting Ikebukuro and Hanno.
When it was first introduced it consisted of four cars, but between 1974 and 1976 two intermediate cars were added, making it a six-car train which was in service.
The successor 10000 series express trains were introduced in 1993, and these trains were retired in 1995.
The 5000 series, which served as the first "Red Arrow" on the Seibu Chichibu Line, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary since its opening, will be produced with a new car number.
You can enjoy the scenery of the old Seibu lines together with the simultaneously scheduled release of the 10-1358 Seibu Railway 101 Series (first model) new paint color and the 10-431 Seibu E851 Cement Train.

[Product Features]
The six-car train is equipped with an illuminated name plate and is produced in the specifications of around 1978.
Accurately reproduces the distinctive front shape, including the stainless steel decorative band and company emblem.
Head/tail lights, passing indicator lights on (with switch to turn them off)
The leading car coupling is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler (with hook) as standard. The intermediate coupling is equipped with a bogie-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler (with jumper tube).
The standard illuminated name plate is "Chichibu". "Okuchichibu" and "Musashi" are included as replacements. The vehicle number and car number are printed.
The original nickname plate is also included as a replacement with a light-blocking design. You can recreate the names "Chichibu", "Okuchichibu" and "Musashi" in signboard format.
The rear bogie of the leading car is equipped with a waste treatment device to match the toilet position.
