The Meitetsu 5700 series was introduced in 1986, and consisted of four-car sets with two convertible doors and cross seats.
The vehicle performance is equivalent to that of the 7000 series, and it is possible to operate the trains in combination.
It was mainly used as an express train on the Meitetsu Main Line and branch lines, but in its later years it was also used for regular operations.
