Product Description
-- A basic set of the 205 series commuter train that reproduces the small ATC equipment seen on the Yamanote Line and Saikyo Line with new production!
[Actual vehicle guide]
The 205 series is a commuter train that began operating in 1985.
The second batch of 205 series cars were added in 1985 as the first batch of mass-produced cars at the end of the JNR era, and were changed from the first batch's double-pane windows to single-pane drop windows.
The second batch of cars corresponds to the group of cars 5 to 22, and is characterized by the staggered steps on the coupling surface. From the third batch onwards, these steps have been changed to two vertical rows.
When the car was first introduced, all Moha 204 cars were equipped with BLMGs, but since the power supply capacity was not a problem with two cars in the formation, the BLMG of the Moha 204 in car No. 5 was later removed and the BLMG was diverted to the additional Moha 204 cars.
Later, as a measure to ease congestion, the number of cars in the train was increased from 10 to 11 by adding 6-door Saha 204 cars to the train.
After its service on the Yamanote Line, it was remodeled and transferred to other lines in 2002 to replace older cars remaining on other lines.
[point]
Unlike conventional new ATC cars, the underfloor of the leading car is a new reproduction of the ATC equipment repurposed from the 103 series.
The staggered arrangement of steps on the rear of the 205 series, the most distinctive feature of the second batch of cars, is reproduced.
