──The fourth revival color of the E657 series! Blue Ocean, featuring the Shioyazaki Lighthouse and the Pacific Ocean as its motif, has been released.

[Product Introduction]
The E657 series was introduced in 2011 as an AC/DC express train for the Joban Line, and is still the flagship express train on the Joban Line, serving as its mainstay.
To coincide with the Ibaraki Destination Campaign in 2023, the E657 series was painted in a style reminiscent of the old E653 series [Fresh Hitachi], attracting the attention of many railway fans, not just those living along the line.
The actual train is available in five different colors, and KATO will be releasing the blue-painted K1 train as the fourth in their lineup.
This vehicle is recommended for passing by other vehicles in service within the JR East jurisdiction, including the Sendai area north of Haranomachi, such as the various E721 series models 10-2091 to 2093, scheduled for release in April 2026, and for adding to your collection with the five colors currently being developed.

Reproduce the revival paint scheme inspired by the E653 series [Fresh Hitachi] (blue)
Each train features a different symbol mark (blue: Shioyazaki Coast and lighthouse)
Reproduces the insulators and high-voltage equipment around the pantograph, which are unique to AC/DC trains, as well as the train radio antenna and WiMAX antenna on the roof.
The slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running.
The intermediate coupling section is equipped with a body-mounted KATO close-coupled coupler and a damper between the cars as standard.
Underfloor equipment, bogies, inter-car dampers, and leading car dummy couplers are gray.
The front and side windows are tinted green, just like the real car.
