Product Description

──A delivery man running through Akiji! Hiroshima's Kumoni 83!

[Actual vehicle introduction]
From the 1960s onwards, as passenger trains were converted to electric cars, freight trains were introduced by modifying surplus Moha 72 series cars for freight transport.
The method adopted was to reuse the main equipment and underframe, and replace it with a newly manufactured car body equivalent to that of a new performance electric train.
The Kumouni 74, which also functioned as a mail car, was introduced in 1962, and from 1966 the Kumouni 82, which had a compartment, and the KumoNi 83, which was designed exclusively for baggage, were introduced.
The KuMoNi 83 was initially modified as a low-roof 800 series for the Chuo-Tohoku Line, and the 800 series was also introduced for regular lines.
The following year, the 0 series with a regular roof was introduced, and in 1973, with the development of the PS23 pantograph for low-profile tunnels, all freight trains subsequently converted were introduced as 0 series with a regular roof.
The KuMoNi 83 was deployed to Hiroshima Depot in 1966 following the conversion of local passenger trains on the Sanyo Main Line and Kure Line to the 80 series electric trains.
Around 1977, one 0-series car and four 800-series cars were deployed, and there are records of them being used as freight trains alone between Itosaki, Hiroshima, Yanai and Shimonoseki, as well as coupled with 111 series cars.

[Product overview]
Further enhancements to the Micro Ace freight train series
Variation product based on A1171 (shipped in March 2006)
In response to many requests, we have selected the freight trains of the Hiroshima Depot that were seen in the Hiroshima and Shimonoseki areas.
The long-awaited release of the Kumoni 83, which was active in the Shonan color scheme despite being an 800 series train.
Among the 800 series, the early group (801) with high gutters and the mid-group (809) with low gutters were created.
The first plastic finished product of the mid-range group (809) with rounded corners on the side windows and low gutters.
Both cars are powered, but rubber tires have been omitted to allow for connection with other vehicles.
The headlights are in warm white, the taillights are red, and the front display is white.
