Product Description

The Wa18275 type is a wooden covered freight car manufactured from the late Meiji period to the early Taisho period.
Based on the British-made Wa12746 type, which had been imported earlier and was well-received, this model was produced with a wider body and a 9-ton capacity covered freight car.
During the tonnage increase project carried out in the Taisho era, the freight cars were converted to 10-ton capacity without any major modifications.
In the 1928 revision of the vehicle designation regulations, it became the Wa17000 series, along with the Wa60000 series which had vertical paneling.
The product models both the early model with vacuum brake hoses and buffers, and the later model after the introduction of automatic couplers.

The Wa18275 type (vertical paneling, later model, air brakes) is a model of a later model vehicle with wooden vertical paneling, air brakes, and automatic couplers.
The product reproduces the vertical paneling body, underfloor air brakes, tanks, cylinders, and end-face release levers.
*Tobu Railway's Wa301 and Wa341 series are identical vehicles.
