Upgrade your NEXT Akagi! Revised and updated flight deck marking stickers/decals (2026), and the battleship color is molded to resemble the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color.


(Structure and specifications)
- It is made up of pre-colored parts, so the desired color scheme can be reproduced without painting.
• It uses a snap-fit assembly method, so it can be assembled without using glue.
- A full-hull type that reproduces even the bottom of the ship. The parts can be separated at the waterline to assemble a waterline type as well.

[Product Features]
The product is modeled after the Pearl Harbor attack in December 1941 (the start of the war).
- Products produced later/using different mold designs and production methods than those in the same scale/different series (Special Series).
- The parts are colored with a gray molded color that mimics the historical Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color. (Registered with the Yokosuka Naval District, entered Yokosuka port in April-May 1942)
- The hull bottom, wooden deck, linoleum flooring, etc., are each pre-colored in eight different colors.

- hull
The hull is split into left and right halves, divided at the waterline. It is molded in a special gray color that mimics the battleship gray used at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal.
The portholes and external electrical conduits on the sides of the ship are depicted with sharp, three-dimensional sculptures.
- Fairleads and other fittings and details are realistically reproduced with sharp sculpting.

- Bow
- The anchor deck at the bow features a single molded piece of rigging, while the anchor chains and other details are reproduced with a three-dimensional design.
- The crane rails under the stern flight deck are separate parts, demonstrating attention to detail even in areas that are not easily visible.
- The struts and auxiliary supports that support the flight deck are reproduced with delicate parts.

- flight deck
- The flight deck is made of separate parts for the steel and wooden sections. This allows for color separation without the need for painting.
→The wooden deck features delicate carvings that give it a realistic appearance even without painting, and the depth is suitable for panel lining during painting.
→The drainage gutters and windbreaks around the flight deck, as well as the truss structure on the underside, are rendered in three dimensions with intricate detail.
→The old flight deck at the rear is shaped using a separate part.
The elevator features delicate carvings that depict the eye ring.

- Bridge, mast, radio antenna masts
The bridge base is a single-piece molded part using a slide mold, achieving both ease of assembly and accurate reproduction of the ship's shape.
→The base of the bridge is reproduced with delicate carvings down to the smallest details, such as windows and blackboards.
- The upper parts, such as the compass bridge, are constructed using a layered structure where parts are stacked and assembled.
- The tripod-shaped mast is integrated into a single part.
The radio antenna masts, a total of four on both sides of the ship, are retractable and movable.

- Equipment
The chimney's tip is a separate part, molded in black to reproduce the paint scheme without painting, and the depth of the exhaust port is also reproduced.
- The port-side anti-aircraft gun is designed to be rotatable.
The 20cm guns mounted on both sides of the stern are exquisitely crafted, even down to the wrinkles in the canvas.
- Includes gangway parts to recreate the ship at anchor (requires a 0.8mm opening for installation).

- Bottom
The hull bottom has a unified left-right shape.
→A specification colored in a dark red (hull bottom color).
→The bilge keel is sculpted as a single piece on the bottom of the ship.
→The hull's bottom surface features delicately molded details for water intake and drainage ports.
The rudder, shaft, shaft bracket, and screw propeller are each made as separate parts and precisely molded.
→The screw propeller is molded in gold.
→The rudder, shafts, and brackets are molded in the same color as the hull bottom.

- Carrier-based aircraft
The included aircraft are the three types (Zero Fighter, Type 99 Dive Bomber, and Type 97 Carrier Attack Bomber) that were on board when the ship was lost between December 1941 and June 1942.
The Zero Fighter and Type 99 Dive Bomber are molded in light gray, and their coloring can be easily reproduced by applying the included Hinomaru (Japanese flag) marking stickers.
The Type 97 carrier attack bomber is molded in a dark green color.
Each kit uses one piece per unit, with three units included for a total of nine units.


- Bonus parts included
- For those who wish to pursue a more precise shape, additional/replacement bonus parts that can be glued on are included.
→A version with a hollow tripod section for the mast is included.
→The machine gun's ammunition boxes can be made into separate parts and placed/glued around the machine gun mount to enhance realism.
→The landing gear of the carrier-based aircraft is made into separate parts, and the original molded parts are cut off and replaced with adhesive to reproduce the design.

- Included stickers and decals
Two types of decals are included: stickers for straight assembly without painting, and decals for painted models.
・Three types of stickers are included.
→ Pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion and flexibility, allowing for easy coloring of fine details.
→All three types are pre-cut stickers for easy use (some very small bonus sections may need to be cut).

→(1) A sticker set containing white lines on the flight deck and small areas of linoleum-covered flooring.
→(1) The white line markings have been revised to accurately represent the pattern based on further research (starting with products produced in July 2026)
→(1) This sticker can also be used to make the shaft gold, and as a bonus, it includes landing guidance lights and navigation lights.
→(2) Includes stickers specifically for the interior of shipboard boats (wooden color) and the canvas parts of motor launches.
→(3) Includes the Hinomaru markings that are displayed on the wing surfaces of carrier-based aircraft.

- One type of decal is included.
→The main feature is the white line markings on the flight deck.
→The decal size is approximately 190x50mm, and it is printed in two colors: white and red.
→The white line markings have been revised to a more accurate pattern representation based on further research (starting with products produced in July 2026).
→The shade of red will be changed to a more subdued tone (starting with products produced in July 2026).

The box art, by Yoshiyuki Takani, depicts the Akagi of the First Carrier Division sailing while launching its aircraft.
