This version of the [Shinano] comes with photo-etched parts and includes a wave base that allows you to realistically depict the ship sailing.

[Structural and Specifications Features]
- It is made up of pre-colored parts, so the desired color scheme can be reproduced without painting.
• Because it uses a snap-fit assembly system, it can be assembled without using glue.
- Includes a sea surface base to easily and realistically display the model sailing on the open sea.
- Etched parts are included that allow you to express even the smallest details that are difficult to reproduce with injection-molded parts.

[Product Features]
The scale is 1/700.
The product is modeled after the building's appearance at the time of its completion in November 1944, with the remaining construction work already completed.
- Although they are actually sister ships, Yamato and Musashi, a distinctive feature is that they do not share parts and use dedicated parts to represent the differences between them.
The display base features a three-dimensional representation of the wake generated from the bow, sides, and propellers of the ship.

- hull
- The hull is split into left and right halves, and the layout around the bow bellmouth is accurately reproduced based on historical research.
The molded color is a dark and light green, mimicking anti-submarine camouflage.
- Some parts, such as the canvas openings on the sides of the hull, are represented using a highly flexible sealing material.
The portholes lining the sides of the ship are reproduced with delicate carvings, showing the difference between closed and open shapes.

- flight deck
The flight deck is made of two pieces. The concrete-covered deck section and the outer edge section are separated into parts, making it ideal for painting and detailing.
- For the cement-covered areas, we prepared molded parts colored in a light gray, which is lighter than battleship gray.

- Armament
The main gun can be elevated and rotated. It achieves both a minimal number of parts and realistic design.
The 46cm main gun barrel is positioned in an open state using a slide mold.
- To recreate the additional machine gun mounts on the roofs of the No. 2 and No. 3 main guns, dedicated parts were prepared for both the main gun roofs and the machine gun mounts.
The secondary guns are rotatable, and the barrels and turrets are integrated into a single, one-piece structure.

- Bridge
- The bridge uses a split and sliding mold to minimize the number of seams between parts, and the parts are integrated into a single unit.
- The shape of the chimney and the structure near the aft boat deck have been recreated in three dimensions based on recent documents and research.

- Chimney/Mast/Fittings

The chimney is made up of three parts, and the steam exhaust pipe is realistically shaped while being integrated with the support structure.
- The cap (grille) at the top of the chimney is left open, creating a very realistic and sense of depth.
The bridge is a single piece created using slide molding. All four sides feature intricate sculpting for a realistic appearance.
- Strip patterns on the anti-aircraft gun mounts and monkey ladders on the hangar walls create a highly detailed and sculpted design on surfaces that could easily become monotonous.
- Bonus features include glue-on [horizontal binoculars] and [machine gun ammunition boxes], parts for detailed finishing.

- Carrier-based aircraft
The set includes four types of carrier-based aircraft: [Shiden-kai], [Ryusei], [Saiun], and [Ohka].
The Shiden-kai comes in two colors: the standard dark green and a yellow-orange color that imitates the prototype Shiden-kai II.
- The legs of the Ryusei, Saiun, and Shidenkai are molded as a single piece, and separate leg parts with even more detailed sculpting are also included.

- Included stickers
- Includes pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion and flexibility for easy detail coloring.
- The included decals are specially designed in a color scheme to match the cement-covered flight deck.
The included decals cover the canvas hull, the linoleum floor of the bridge, and the white lines on the flight deck, allowing for color representation without painting.
- In addition to the stickers, a separate decal sheet is included for painted finishes, featuring white lines on the flight deck and the Hinomaru (Japanese national emblem) on the aircraft.

The box art was specially commissioned by illustrator Kenji Kurokawa, depicting a scene of high-speed sailing under a clear sky.

The molded parts consist of seven colors in total: (Kure Naval Arsenal color, hull bottom color, black, dark gray, gold, dark green, and clear blue).
