[Vehicle Guide]
The 227 series 500 series [Kizashi] is a new type of train developed for the Yamaguchi area and is a DC electric train operated by JR West that began service in June 2026.
・It is mainly used on the Sanyo Line (Iwakuni to Shimonoseki).
Six 3-car train sets and three 2-car train sets have been introduced (as of July 2026).

[Product Features]
- Front shape similar to the 227 series Red Wing and 227 series 500 series Urara.
- The front display unit is replaceable and comes with pre-printed parts installed; replacement parts are included.
- The anti-fall barrier on the lead car is a separate part, and two types are included: one for when the car is leading and one for when it is coupled.
• [Kizashi] logo and JR mark printed on.
- The car number is selectable and a transfer sheet is included.
- The headlights and taillights use white LEDs, while the fog lights use a color prism to reproduce an orange illumination.
- Headlights, taillights, and front display are equipped with a constant lighting circuit board and an ON/OFF switch.
- The driver's cab side of the leading car is equipped with a TN coupler (SP).
・New current collection system, silver wheels adopted
