Product Description

────The definitive model for West Japan's local lines. We will be releasing updated Kiha 120 trains. Starting with the Tsuyama, Takayama, and Kisuki liveries!

[Product Introduction]
The KiHa 120 is a 16-meter-long light railcar designed for one-man operation. 89 units were manufactured between 1992 and 1996 with the aim of replacing local line rolling stock inherited from the Japanese National Railways and revitalizing the railway lines.
Both the 0-series and 300-series trains have stainless steel bodies and fixed windows, but the difference is that the former has long seats in the interior, while the latter has semi-cross seats.
In 2007, some windows were sealed off when toilets were installed. Furthermore, in 2017, renovation work was carried out, which included converting the headlights to LEDs and installing opening and closing switches for the side passenger doors.

This train is active in various parts of the JR West Japan area, and can also be seen running alongside trains from other companies such as JR Central and JR East on the Takayama Main Line and Oito Line, so you can enjoy seeing it together with trains from various generations of JR.
Furthermore, it can run on curved tracks (R183), making it ideal for use in small-space layouts and mini dioramas.

[Product features]
This product models the KiHa 120 after toilet installation and renovation work. It reproduces the Tsuyama livery (300 series) belonging to the Goto General Rolling Stock Center Okayama Diesel Railcar Depot.
The exterior is recreated with two windows on one side blocked off due to the installation of a toilet.
The refurbished model features dual headlights, wiper covers for the connecting doors, and reinforced skirts with snowplows, all features implemented during the renovation work.
The different silver textures around the window and on the lower and trim panels are beautifully expressed.
The different body colors and markings for each operating region are reproduced.
The coupling sections are as follows: all powered cars are equipped with dummy couplers as standard, while trailer cars have a dummy coupler on one side and a body-mounted close-coupling coupler on the other. Replacement body-mounted close-coupling couplers and coupling skirts, as well as dummy couplers and skirts, are included.
Front hood included. Allows for the recreation of scenes when coupled together.
The slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet operation.
Minimum passing curve radius: R183
Headlights/taillights and front destination display illuminate (with on/off switch for headlights/taillights). Interior lighting is installed.
The two headlights on each side reproduce different colors on the inside and outside, and the appearance when they are not lit is also realistically reproduced.
The front display is blank. Stickers are included that show destination, priority seating, and one-man operation.
