[Actual vehicle guide]
- In 1967 (S 42), it appeared as the world's first sleeper seated double express train 581 series (60 Hz compatible).
In 1968, 583 series shared by 50/60 Hz appeared, and became active in the whole country as a daytime / night shared daily direct current express train in 1968 when connecting Kansai - Kyushu.
