C57-135, now being preserved at the Railway Museum in Omiya city, Saitama
prefecture, was a type of C57, which was an improvement on C55.
The slender, beautiful looks earned the nickname "Fair Lady".
This item is modelled on its last run on Muroran Line, in Hokkaido, on December
14th, 1975.
"Good bye SL train" ran by this locomotive on that day.
