Product Description

- Kiha 120 is a small diesel car that appeared in 1991 and 300 is a stainless steel body car.
- From around 2004 the toilet installation remodeling began with remodeling and all the vehicle construction was completed by around 2007 and side windows were filled.
- Kiha 120 on the Kansai Line is undergoing remodeling of skirts and is active in Kameyama and Kamo.

- Kiha 120 is a small diesel car that appeared in 1991.
- 300 cars appeared in the body of stainless steel.
- A toilet installation work was carried out around 2004 and some windows were buried.
- The Sanjie Line will be abolished on April 1, 2018.

[Actual vehicle guide]
- Kiha 120 type is a lightweight diesel car that JR West started introducing since 1992 (Heisei 4) with the aim of revitalizing the rural line district and improving service.
- A compact car body with a total length of 15.8 m which adopted both driving trapezoidal shapes was devised to simplify and lighten everywhere, and its own weight is about 27 tons. In addition, since the same form assumes local line operation by one-man operation, it has facilities such as a rearview mirror for backward confirmation and a fare box / outside speaker corresponding to unmanned station.
- The heart of the SA6D125H-1 diesel engine boasts high performance of 250 horsepower output (*) while being compact, coupled with a lightweight body, contributing greatly to acceleration performance etc. This engine is designed not only in terms of performance, but also at the same time realizing low fuel consumption and low pollution, with consideration given to the environmental aspect as well.
