──The red 1000 type has a destination display lit, and the regular color is re-released with a car number selection specification.

- The Odakyu 1000 type is a vehicle that was introduced in 1988 (Showa 63) with the first stainless steel body and VVVF control.
- It is widely used on the Odawara Line, Enoshima Line, and Tama Line, and was once used for direct service to the subway.
- There is a wide variety of formations such as 4-car, 6-car, 8-car, and 10-car formations, and 4-car and 6-car formations are also operated in conjunction with other types.
- In recent years, renewed vehicles have also appeared in 4-car and 10-car configurations.
- The 4-car formations 1058 to 1061 wear the same Swiss Rhaetian Railway colors as the Hakone Tozan Railway 1000 and 2000 types, and were mainly used on the Hakone Tozan Line between Odawara and Hakone Yumoto. .
