──50090 series, widely used from local trains to [TJ Liner]

The Tobu 50000 series was the first Tobu commuter car to use an aluminum body, and was introduced in 2004 as a next-generation vehicle that aimed to be barrier-free, energy-efficient, and maintenance-free.
The 50050 series was introduced in 2006 (Heisei 18) as a vehicle running on the Isesaki (Tobu Skytree Line) - Hanzomon Subway Line, and the 50070 series was introduced the following year in 2007 (Heisei 19) as a vehicle running on the Tojo Line - Yurakucho and Fukutoshin Subway Lines.
Furthermore, in 2008, the 50090 series was introduced as a vehicle for the TJ Liner, a limited-seat train that began operating on the Tojo Line.
The 50090 series is the first in the Kanto region to adopt the cross seat/long seat conversion system, and will be operated with cross seats on the TJ Liner, Kawagoe Limited Express, and Rapid Express, and with long seats on other trains.
