Product Description
The Type 97 light armored personnel carrier (TeKe) was developed for reconnaissance/search and liaison purposes as a successor to the Type 94 light armored personnel carrier (TK vehicle), which had contributed to the mechanization of the army as a handy light tank from the beginning of the Sino-Japanese War (China Incident).
The small and lightweight body of the vehicle is said to be one of the best in the world for its type, and two types were produced: a 7.7mm machine gun type and a 37mm tank cannon type.
This vehicle was primarily deployed to the Reconnaissance Regiment, a mobile reconnaissance unit that was converted from a cavalry regiment.
They were also deployed to many units, such as tank regiments, for liaison purposes, and even to the Naval Landing Force.
The caterpillar is connected with adhesive.
Choose between machine gun type and tank gun type.
Includes two tank crew figures.
The interior of the vehicle is also reproduced.
