[About the actual machine]
The F-1 was the first domestically produced fighter aircraft after the war, developed for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force to protect the skies of Japan.
It was developed based on the T-2, Japan's first independently developed supersonic advanced trainer.
The first mass-produced aircraft made its first flight in 1977 and began operation the same year. It served in the defense of Japan's skies for 29 years, until 2006.
The aircraft was equipped with two TF40-IHI-801A turbofan engines manufactured by Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, giving it a maximum speed of Mach 1.6.
It is equipped with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and can carry a variety of bombs and rockets.
Furthermore, it can also be equipped with the domestically produced ASM-1 air-to-ship missile, demonstrating its high capabilities as a multi-role fighter.
- The 6th Squadron of the 8th Air Wing, which was established as an F-86F unit at Chitose Air Base on August 1, 1959, converted the aircraft to the F- on February 28, 1981 and entered service with the aircraft.

This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's F-1 support fighter.
This kit models the first F-1, aircraft number 70-8201, which was painted in a special way to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 6th Squadron's founding in 1999.
The aircraft is painted in camouflage and features colorful commemorative markings on the vertical stabilizer.
The tail markings are provided as large decals made by Cartograf, an Italian company renowned for their high quality. The beautiful finish is sure to catch your eye.
Of course, each part of the aircraft is reproduced in detail, even down to the panel lines, realistically recreating the sharp aircraft shape.
The legs and other details are also modeled in detail to enhance the realism of the finished product. The interior of the cockpit is also modeled in detail.
