Once completed, Akagi will be joining the Wave series, which includes an ocean surface stage that allows you to easily and realistically recreate the sailing pose!

[Structure and specifications]
- It is made up of pre-colored parts, so you can recreate the coloring you imagine without having to paint it.
-It is assembled using a snap-fit method, so it can be assembled without using adhesive.
-Reproduces the appearance of the ship sailing on the ocean -Includes a sea surface base that makes it easy to display the ship in a more realistic manner.

[Product Features]
The product is modeled after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 (at the start of the war), and is 1/700 scale.
- A product with a mold design and production date later than the same scale/different series (special series).
-The completed product is an offshore model type that reproduces the area above the waterline.
- Parts are molded in a gray color that mimics the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color in accordance with historical facts (registered to Yokosuka Naval District and entered Yokosuka Naval Arsenal in 1942)
- The display sea surface base features a three-dimensional representation of the bow, sides, and wake waves generated by the propellers.

[Hull]
The hull is divided into left and right halves at the waterline. It is molded in a special grey color that mimics the warship colors used at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal.
- The sides are divided into left and right halves, and the portholes and external electrical wiring are depicted with sharp, three-dimensional sculptures.
- Fairleads and other fittings and sculptures are realistically reproduced with sharp sculpting.

[Flight deck]
- The steel and wooden flight deck sections are separate parts, allowing for different color combinations without painting.
- The wooden deck has delicate carvings that give it a realistic appearance even without painting, and is deep enough to accommodate shading when painting.
- The elevator features a delicate carving of an eye ring.
- The drainage gutters around the flight deck, windbreak fences, and truss structure on the back are all recreated in detail.

[Bow]
- The anchor deck at the bow is molded as a single piece with all of its fittings, and the anchor chain and other parts are reproduced in three dimensions.
- The crane rails under the stern flight deck are separate parts, with attention paid to detail even in areas that are difficult to see.
- The struts and auxiliary struts supporting the flight deck are reproduced with delicate parts.

[Outfitting]
The tip of the chimney is a separate part molded in black to recreate the paintwork without painting, and the depth of the exhaust port is also reproduced.
- The bridge is molded all around using a slide mold for a realistic design.
- The 20cm cannons mounted on both sides of the stern are exquisitely sculpted to even depict the wrinkles in the canvas.

[Carriage-based aircraft]
- The included aircraft are three models (Zero fighter, Type 99 carrier bomber, and Type 97 carrier attack plane) that were installed between December 1941 and June 1942 when the ship was destroyed in the war.
The Zero fighter and Type 99 carrier bomber are molded in light gray, and the included Japanese flag marking stickers can be applied to easily recreate the color scheme.
- The Type 97 carrier attack plane is molded in dark green.
Each kit uses one piece, and three kits are included, for a total of nine kits.

[Included sticker]
- Comes with pre-cut stickers that have excellent adhesion properties, making it easy to paint the details.
- The included stickers include the linoleum flooring on the outer side walkways and the white lines on the flight deck, allowing you to express color without painting.
- Separate from the stickers, decals are included for painting purposes, featuring the white lines on the flight deck and the Japanese flag for the aircraft on board.

The white line markings have been revised to more accurately represent the pattern after further research.

- Molded parts are available in seven colors (Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color, black, linoleum color, wooden deck color, dark green, light grayish white, and clear blue).
