The 787 series was introduced in 1992 for the Tsubame express train departing from and arriving at Nishi-Kagoshima, and is still in use today, having been repeatedly repurposed as its operating range expanded and the Kyushu Shinkansen and Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen lines opened.
The 36 Plus 3, which debuted in 2020, is attracting attention as a D&S (Design & Story) train that travels around seven prefectures in Kyushu using the 787 series.
Introducing a sound card that lets you enjoy the various operations of the 787 series express trains along with the sounds.
You can enjoy running the model train while imagining the many vehicles passing by in urban areas and the scenic railway lines throughout Kyushu.

The sound of the 787 series, which maximizes the impact of the train's running scenes, is reproduced in the model train, allowing you to enjoy a realistic driving experience.
This model reproduces the running sound of the 787 series, which was still the mainstream at the time of the launch of JR and was driven by a DC motor and hollow shaft parallel cardan drive.
By pressing the function button, you can enjoy the horn that exudes the essence of JR Kyushu, and in addition to the original pitch heard from the driver's perspective, you can also select the familiar tone when approaching at high speed. The in-car chime also enhances the riding experience of the 787 series.
You can select whether or not to play door chimes and variations of the interior chimes based on the actual vehicle operation period.
By pressing and holding the function button [5], you can reproduce the announcement of departures during one-man operation or regular train operation.
It is recommended for use in running 787 series model trains, and can also be used to run 883 and 885 series trains, including horns and in-car chimes.
Sound-synchronized cards accelerate and decelerate in sync with the driving sound, giving you the feeling of driving a real car.
Equipped with a "save tuning settings" function that remembers the previous tuning mode when the sound box is turned off and maintains the settings the next time it is turned on.
The package includes a function label for the sound box.
